On December the 4th 2018 I graduated from the University of Liverpool with a 1st Class Honours degree in Law. Although I ended up with this fantastic result, the path to that point was far from smooth.
Throughout my degree (at the end of my gap year, and in my 2nd and 3rd years) I worked a full time position at the Digital Marketing Agency, ARC Universal. At first I was working in SEO implementation doing things like;
- On Page Optimisation,
- Social Media Management,
- LinkedIn Outreach,
- Keyword Research and,
- Link Building.
Over time I took on additional roles and eventually became a Digital Marketing Manager where I managed a team that looked after client SEO accounts. I also became head of Business Development. This required me to network in connected industries and meet potential clients.
Thankfully I was still able to attend a large portion of my lectures and secure a 1st class result by choosing modules that were examined via Coursework
My work for ARC and my other digital projects were time consuming and at times, the time management became difficult. However, I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I work in an industry I love, have been able to develop my professional skills and my academic skills at the same time and I have gained multidisciplinary connections that I can apply to any future endeavours.
I hope to continue working in the digital marketing industry along side Click Click Marketing and engaging with personal freelance projects.
